LOCAL MOVING CONFIRMATION LETTER
Your move is scheduled for____________, with an estimated arrival time between____________________. The rate will be $ /hour for 2 movers. The time starts when the men leave our office and it ends when they return, so there is a drive time. We have a two hour minimum, after two hours we bill in 15 minute increments. Payment is due prior to completion of the move. We accept Cash, Debit Cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover, checks are not accepted. Arrival Time
Your arrival time is approximate and depends on earlier jobs in the day. Afternoon jobs are scheduled based on when the men are estimated to finish the prior move. On occasion moves finish sooner than expected & some take longer. We will contact you if it’s going to be any earlier or later than your scheduled arrival time.
Packing
We also offer a professional packing service for FULL & PARTIAL pack jobs. Some customers have us pack the kitchen only, and others have us pack the entire house. Contact us at 205-977-2222 to get a free packing estimate today!
Boxes/Packing Materials
We sell all of our boxes and packing supplies in our main office located in Cahaba Heights. We also offer specialty boxes for certain items like Mirrors, large paintings, flat screen TV’s, etc. Contact our office if you need us to bring boxes out to you. We will deliver boxes locally for FREE with a $100 purchase or more.
Hanging Clothes
We sell wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes. You can pick these up prior to your move or you can rent them on the day of your move.
Drawer Contents
Clothing & linens can be left in dressers & chests. Fragile items need to be removed and boxed. Contents from desk drawers, lateral, and fireproof filing cabinets must be removed. Vertical filing cabinets can remain full while being moved.
Appliances
Refrigerator & Freezer must be emptied for your move. Once these items are moved, wait two hours before plugging them back in. The movers can disconnect/connect your washer & dryer with a signed release of liability.
Specialty Items
Our movers are specially trained and equipped to move large specialty items (Ex. Pianos, Safes, Hot tubs, etc.) Some of these items may have an extra charge.
Limited Budget Moves
Request a large and heavy only move. MOVEDADDY.COM will move all of your large and heavy items and appliances, and you move everything else (lamps, electronics, pictures & mirrors, toys, etc.) Thereby reducing your total move expense.
Final Cost of Move
Estimates are based on you being packed and ready to move. The final cost of your move is determined by the ACTUAL TIME your move takes, plus the drive time. After the two hour minimum, we round to the next quarter hour.
Payment
Payment is due prior to completion of the move. We accept Cash, Debit Cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. We do not accept checks.
Tips
The movers may accept tips if you wish to recognize performance you believe to be impressive.
Cancellation Policy
We ask that you contact us immediately if your moving plans change. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Customers who fail to notify us within 24 hours will be charged the two hour minimum.
Weather
We will show up for your move, rain or shine. For rainy conditions you should have old towels ready, to dry off the furniture when the movers are unloading the truck. In the case of ice, snow, or mud it is your responsibility to create a clean & safe pathway for the men to use. We do not move when roads are closed.
Parking
You will want to reserve secure parking space(s) for the truck to park for an efficient move.
Elevators
Access plays a huge role in determining how long the move takes. Elevators add a considerable amount of time to any move. If your move does consist of using an elevator, make sure to reserve it for your move day if possible, to save time.
Restricted Items
The movers are not allowed to connect/disconnect gas appliances. They are not allowed to handle or transport jewelry, firearms, explosives, flammable liquids, or chemicals.
Sanitary Conditions
We expect to perform in sanitary conditions. Service may be denied if conditions are unsafe or unsanitary.
Damages
Our movers will be as careful as possible, in the unlikely event a damage is caused by our services, MOVEDADDY.COM reserves the right to repair the damages(s) in question. If we determine that a damage cannot be repaired, we reserve the right to either replace or compensate (Actual Cash Value) for the damage. If there is a damage, notify your movers immediately. They will complete a Damage Report before they leave your site. If you discover a damage after the move, call our office within 96 hours of your move. No damage claims will be honored until the charges for moving services have been paid in full.
